Open 'D' Tuning

In open 'D' tuning the strings are tuned to an open 'D' (Major) chord. As in the open 'G' minor and 'A' tunings most of the chords played in open 'D' are suspensions.

You will notice that most of the chords shown here have multiple positions on the fret board. These are the chords and formations I've used on my recordings and they are not placed in any particular order. There are lots of other chords in open 'D'.
